About Simation: Rob Bennett, Principal

Rob is responsible for the strategic development and growth of Simation Global Technologies. To accomplish this task, he focuses his attention on three core areas: the support and nurturing of Simation's distributors, the sales initiatives of the company, and the company's internal and administrative processes including product and project management.

Prior to joining Simation, Rob founded and built a company for over 25 years that translated corporate vision and strategic direction into actionable processes. The company, called Municipal Software Corporation, worked with cities and counties throughout North America including Miami, Denver, Charlotte and Oakland, implementing a wide variety of systems that would increase or improve service and would provide better and more timely information to senior decision makers. As CEO of Municipal Software, he led a team of 50 professionals, and took the company public in 2002.

While Rob entered his career as a software developer, he quickly learned that people trump technology. Two cornerstones to Rob's success have been his passion for strategic planning and continual development of his sales teams. When he was introduced to Paul Roberts in 2007, Rob instantly recognized the importance and value of Simation's products in educating and energizing sales and management teams.

The hallmark of Rob's success has been the ability to build and nurture relationships with staff, customers and partners. The relationships that he forms are typically long term and built on a foundation of openness, honesty and trust.

Rob is actively involved in his community advising a number of different companies on various strategic and tactical issues. In addition, Rob is a director on the board of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, a director on the board of the BC Cancer Foundation, and the past chair of the regional technology industry association (VIATeC).

He graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and a minor in Geography in 1983.

Rob is a Director of Simation Global Technology, as well as its President and Chief Operating Officer.
